Accessibility

We are fully disabled accessible. The practice has step free access at both our Peckwater and Leighton Road entrances. Most of our clinical space Is on the ground floor. We have designated disabled parking bays available at the Peckwater Street entrance for any patient holding a blue badge. Patients who feel unable to wait in our main waiting area are able to access our sensory room.

Parking

There is on street parking available via permit or pay and display services located on the bear by streets. Caversham Patients who hold a blue badge can access two designated disabled parking bays inside the Peckwater Centre car park and there is additional disabled permit parking located alongside Islip Street.

Out of Hours

Extended Access

  • The Caversham Group Practice offer a range of extended access appointments in collaboration with other local practices. This service operates weeknights 6:30pm to 8pm and all day on a Saturday and is referred to as the “Hub”
  • Appointments are available each weeknight and at weekends across the local area and you may be offered appointments at other GP practices who are part of our shared local service.’
  • We host extended access clinics onsite at The Caversham on a Wednesday and Friday evenings.
  • Other local practices that host the hub service are Parliament Hill medical centre and Hampstead Group Practice.
  • Appointment can be booked with GP's, Pharmacists, nurse practitioners and practice nurses.
  • If you would like to make an out of hours, hub appointment , for a routine matter you can ask to book via your registered practice or contact the hub service via 020 7428 5701 (Phonelines only open during hub service operating hours)

Life Threatening

  • you or someone you know needs immediate help
  • you have seriously harmed yourself - for example, by taking a drug overdose

A mental health emergency should be taken as seriously as a medical emergency.
